Kiwi College - About Us

About Us | Resumé | Raison d’etre

Kiwi College started in 1992 on the Francis family's return to Japan after 18 months living in Torbay, Auckand, New Zealand, and now consists of an English language school and English language training and support services for companies and universities, and a non- profit homestay and study service for people of all ages. The former two activities pay the rent, the latter being an investment in continued peaceful coexistence for the generations growing up and to come.

Kiwi College is a successor to Francis Japan, a company that provided corporate services to the Sony and Yokogawa groups in the 1980s and 90s, both in Japan and Europe. It also imported and sold New Zealand products.

Mr. Francis has travelled widely in Australasia and South, South East and East Asia, and Western and Eastern Europe, both for pleasure and on business and government service.
