Auckland
Called "last, loneliest and loveliest", by the famous Victorian
novelist Rudyard Kipling as a result of his world travels, Auckland in recent
years has often been chosen as one of the most desirable cites in the world
in which to live. New Zealand's largest and most cosmopolitan city, and
the largest Polynesian city in the world, it is situated on an isthmus between
the Tasman Sea to the west and the Hauraki Gulf and Pacific Ocean to the
east. With clean beaches in the city and up both coasts, and bush covered
ranges and the wine country to the west, Auckland, the City of Sails, home
of the America's Cup, with its mild, sub tropical climate, offers a very
pleasant, stress free environment in which to study and enjoy oneself.
Auckland

husband, this school has two campuses., one for adults on Auckland's main
street, and another, mainly for younger students, in one of Auckland's
very pleasant seaside suburbs. An experienced school well equipped for
looking after Japanese students of all ages.
Crown English Academy
Crown is the biggest English language school in New Zealand
and because it is co-located with the Crown Institute of Studies (a vocational

centre of the city just down from Auckland University it is in a convenient
location for bus transport and only five minutes from the centre of Auckland.

15 minutes away by regular bus service or a little longer via the ferry
from Devonport just down the coast.

Unique is in a wonderful location in that it is one minute from the beach
in Browns Bay on Auckland's North Shore and equally close to supermarkets,
restaurants, banks, travel agencies, cafes and the other conveniences of
modern urban living, but still only 20 minutes to Auckland City by motorway.
Browns Bay (where I used to live) is a very pleasant, clean, green and safe
environment, and Unique's principal and several of her staff speak Japanese
as she taught in the Kansai for several years where she lived with her family.
This school specialises in preparing and looking after younger and high
school age students and multi-generational groups.

Wellington
New Zealand's capital city and cultural centre, Wellington city is very
compact with government, commercial and entertainment districts along the
shore of Port Nicholson which is surrounded by hills. Although only 400,00
people, Wellington has a vibrant cultural and social life and was chosen
as one of the top three most desirable postings by US State Department diplomats.
One of its advantages for the more serious student is that it is not so
crowded with Japanese as Auckland and Christchurch and, being so compact,
is easy to get around using public transport.

Queenstown
The largest and arguably the most beautiful and best ski resort in the Southern
Hemisphere, Queenstown was called as such because it is fit for a queen.
Indeed, there is plenty to do here in any season. Although a premier winter
playground, the surrounding area is known for its autumn beauty and in summer
it has the cool air of the mountains of the southern alps and the vast array
of outdoor activities (the home of the bungy jump) the the mountains and
