Yuko Tamiya went to an expensive international school in Yokohama, but decided that if she really wanted to learn English and understand foreign culture and ways of thinking, she needed to go overseas. Accordingly, we sent her for a year to Languages International in Auckland.
On return to Japan, she went to Rikkyo Tanki Daigaku and has since got a job in a Japanese electronic trading company where the minimum English requirement is a TOEIC score of 600. This is her story.
